The last writing on this blog

It's been about 2 months since I started this blog. Time flies so fast :( I'm feeling weird about the fact I don't have to write a blog from now on. Even though writing on a blog was a little bit stressful for me, it was very helpful I think! In other words, writing on a blog has been so good to me as I can practice writing in English. If I don't have to write two writings per week, I wouldn't have a chance to write a text in English.

In addition, it was good to read other friends' writings and to share some comments. From some of other friends' writings, I got some good and useful information, and I knew what they are thinking about or what they are concerning about; It was so good as I can sympathize with them.

Also, it wasn't a formal writing, so it made me more comfortable than in other writing classes that I had had when writing a text.

Therefore, I think this class was so nice to me :) I can't forget writing this blog! and I will show this blog to my friends :D Now, I feel really great about having completed this writings :) I'm going to try to write a journal in English from next week haha. Let's try :)

Korean Wedding

Now days, in korea, almost of all the people follow the way of western wedding, and many women like to wear a white wedding dress. I also want to wear it when I have a wedding ceremony. Even though it is common many people have a western wedding ceremony, I'd like to tell you about Korean traditional wedding today. Korean traditional wedding is generally divided into four steps.

Firstly, parents of bride and groom dicide whether their daughter or son will get merried, and promise to have a wedding ceremony for their children.

Secondly, the bride of family and the groom of family exchange a letter about the wedding. When the birde sends a letter that she can get married him and about the exact date of wedding, the groom replies to the letter.

Thirdly, the groom of family send a present for the bride such as a ring and some goods to use in their married life before their wedding.

Finally, they have a wedding ceremony that is held at a bride's house. The groom goes to the bride's house by riding a horse, and other people play some instruments to elate. When the groom gets the house, he gives a wooden goose to the bride's family. In this case, the goose means a constant married life. After that, the groom and the bride can meet and see each face, then they bow together. The bride bows two times, and the groom bows once. Actually, they don't know each other and meet together before having a wedding ceremony. Next, they drink traditional alcohol three times a cup. The first sipping means thanks for himself/herself, and the others mean their married life goes forever. Lastly, they bow to their parents, guests and ancestor.

After the wedding ceremony, they have one more thing to do. The bride and the groom meet the groom's parents in a room. At there, the bride bows to the groom's parents, and serves some food.

When they go through all of these steps, they finally finish the ceremony, and become a husband and a wife :)

Before wirting this blog, I did't know about the traditional wedding well. Now, however, I know the steps of traditional wedding and how old people have a wedding. It's so good that I know about the Korean wedding, and I'd like to try the traditional wedding!!

BBQ

Today I went to Crescent Drive Park with my friends. At there, we had a barbecue party. The park was so good to have a BBQ party. Before we got there, we went to Super Store to buy meat, big shrimps, and other things we needed for the barbecue. At first, we went to St.Vital Park, but there was no room for us, so we moved to Crescent Drive Park. When we arrived there, we found a place to barbecue.

Firstly, we soaked some charcoal with oil, and made a fire to the charcoal. We waited for 25 minutes for the charcoal to have a fire. In about 25 minutes, finally we can put the meat on a grill. It was a hard time to wait for the meat to be cooked lol. The smell stimulated me, and was so good :) When the meat was cooked we ate it so fastly xD It was really like 'easy come easy go' haha. We had also rice and Kimchi. Those were more delicious as eating outside! After that, we put some shrimps, onion, and mushrooms. I was so excited as I love big roasted shrimps!!! When the shrimps and other things were cooked, the smell was so nice!! Again, those food were gone so fastly haha. Those were so so delicious, especially, big roasted shrimps were fantastic kkk. It was first time to eat ones in Canada, so I was very happy :D

In Korea, usually we don't have places to have a barbecue in a park, but Canada is possible to have it anytime and whenever. I think Canadian park is so convenient for people who want to have a barbecue out of a house! If you have a free time to go to a park, try a barbecue party in a park :)

A small cafe

Near my home, in Korea, there is a small cafe that is not a franchise like Starbucks. This cafe is my favorite one, so I would never forget it.  Let me describe this cafe to you guys as I'd like to empathize with you all.

The outside of the cafe is wooden, so I feel like I'm in the nature when I see it before going inside. As soon as I go into the cafe, fistly I can feel the good scent from this place, and the scent makes me feel good. In the cafe, there are some small and dark brown tables that are also wooden., and I can see the yellow wall that looks cozy. Some pictures are placed on the wall, and two small and green trees are placed near the glass door. On the front desk, a lot of chocolate are in a basket, so I can eat those sweet chocolate anytime. Next to the front desk, there are some books such as comics, magazines, and novels. In addition, the tasty of coffee at the cafe is so good and the smell from the coffee is also nice. When I smell the coffee, I feel like I'm addicted to the coffee! Whenever I go to the cafe, some peaceful songs that make me calm come out from speakers. I like the atmosphere of this place because of the scent, colors, size, tasty and the songs. All of these factors make me feel good and comfortable.

I wish when I go back to Korea, the cafe would be the same as when I used to go there. Now I feel good as I've been thinking about the cozy cafe to write this text :)

Chocolate Festival

Last Saturday, I went to Chocolate Festival at the Forks with Alix and Shoko. It was held at the Forks Market, and each of the stores served chocolate to the people who had a ticket. At there, once you get the ticket for 7 dollars, you can go to 22 stores that you can recieve chocolate. Does it sound exciting?

When we bought the pass, we were so excited to think about starting this chocolate tour! The list of places we can go was on the pass, so we went around the Forks Market to find the stores that gave chocolate. When we got chocolate at one place, the clerk checked on the pass, so I felt it was like a mission! Every store served different types of chocolate, so we ranked which one was better. Whenever we went to new place, I wondered what chocolate they would give. Sometimes, I was disappointed at the next chocolate, but it was okay because I like chocolate. When walking around there, we saw the many kids whose mouth was messy with chocolate. They were very funny and cute :D  Not only the chocolate, some stores gave small present such as tea bag, chocolate spa bath, and chocolate incense. Sometimes I liked the gifts better than chocolate kkk.

Finally, we got the 21 places! we didn't go one place because we didn't have enough time. After finishing this festival, I felt I went through a mission lol.  We ate lots of chocolate, so I felt I wouldn't eat chocolate for a while, but I already want to eat some chocolate now :p Anyways, the best chocolate I have had was chocolate bread pudding :)  Even though it was a small festival, I enjoyed it! If you like chocolate I would like to recommend you to go to this festival.

Try this application, Kakao Talk

Kakao Talk, which is a messenger, is the most popular smart phone application in Korea. It is not an exaggeration that almost all Korean who have a smart phone have this application to send a message. There are some reasons why many of Korean use Kakao Talk.

Firstly, it is a free application! You can download this application by your smart phone for free. In addition, although you send 1000000 messages to the people that you added for friends, it doesn't cost. As a result, for people, the biggest reason why they use Kakao Talk is this is free.

Secondly, you can talk with anyone in the world. Once you add someone for a friend you can have a conversation even though you are far from the one. Actually, sometimes I have talked with Ayane who is Japanese girl and was my class mate, and Zoe who is chinese and also was my class mate by Kakao Talk. I'm so gald we can talk to each other whenever we want to have a conversation although one left Winnipeg and the other is not IEP student anymore :) Moreover, I can send a message to my family in Korea anytime, so when I need a allowance I send a message about it to my mom right away xD
Next, you can also send a voice message or some pictures to your friends for free as well. It is very useful when you give some information about something, show something to let someone know about it, or tell something that is difficult for writing. For example, when I wanted to show my home stay house to my mom, I sent the picture of it by Kakao Talk, so she could see the house where I was living in easily.

Lastly, you can have a conversation in a group. When you want to talk with some friends that are close together, you can absolutely talk with them in one chatting room! I have some groups to chat, and it is very funny to chat with my friends together. Sometimes I chat with Korean friends who live in Winnipeg in a group chatting room.

After reading the text, would you like to have this application to chat? If you want to talk with Korean friends, you must have this one :p kkkk You can talk with your friends easily when you get this one! Let's have a chat together by Kakao Talk :D

How to bathe a cat

These days cats are popular pet like dogs and it is easy for people to raise cats in their house. When you raise a cat, sometimes you need to bathe the cat. There are 6 steps to bathe a cat efficiently. If you follow these steps, you can wash your cat without teroubles.

First, fill with the warm water till it reaches to chest of a cat into a tub, then make the cat relieved before starting a bath.

Second, grab the cat and put it into the tub, then wet its legs firstly, and then wet the left body of the cat except a head.

Third, make bobbles by a shampoo for a cat, then gently wash the body by hands. Especially, make sure you should wash the bottom of feet and the tail clearly, and shouldn't wash the inside of ears with the water and shampoo.

After that, leave the cat about 5 minutes, then wash the cat with the clean water that is not different degrees from the degrees of previous water.

Next, squeeze the water to the side of legs, and dry the body with a towel and a hair drier.

Finally, before all of the water gets dry brush the cat's hair with a comb, then it is finished!

If you wash your cat by this way, your cat can finish a bath happily without scary of the bath.
